I had this fire safety for over 10 years and am very happy with its quality. I'm worried after reading these comments is not the fire "test", but the fire "resistant". I hope that if ever exposed to fire, it would stand the heat! I'd love to hear from anyone who has had the unfortunate experience of having a fire safe tested in a real fire.
As with other comments it is not "theft-proof." This is not the type of security that is used to protect against burglaries. Luckily that is not evidence of theft, because if it is blocked by fire, I'd know that I can enter the box to access my belongings.
I am only giving it 4 stars because I have no idea if this were in a fire.
